I am trying to figure out if there is a way to use conditional formatting with data validation list like this.

1st I have a list from data validation of performing a task.
I will use 4 task that I do once a week.
Mow grass, wash dishes, wash car, clean pool
I want to set a time for each, and show a conditional format for each objective to show green/red for pass/fail.

Example:
mow grass takes 2 hours.
1st week I did it in 1hr 58 mins (green)
2nd week 2hr 22min (red)

Wash dishes takes on average 30 min
1st week I did it in 45 min (red), 2nd week 48 min (still red)

Wash car-45min
1st week 1hr (red), 2nd week 37 min (green)

Clean pool-2hrs
1st week 1hr 30 min, 2nd week 1hr 15min

What I want to do is have a data validation list with my task.
Mow grass, wash dishes, wash car, clean pool.
Click the arrow down and 1st one up is mow grass and my results are below.

show red/green on all the task that I have.

Select wash dishes, and in the same result area show the new results with red/green.
I already setup the data formula with a vlookup, so the data is there with the change in data each selection I make. I already know how to do the data validation list. I just want to see red/green to match the objectives without having to have 4 different lines with the different data sets on it.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
