QUESTION: Looking up value

Hi. i hope you can help me on this:

column A is filled up from rows 1 to 1000.
column B is filled up from rows 1 to 20.

what function to use to check if any in column B is listed in column A?
Such that if there's a match, it will indicate so (in whatever way).

You could use conditional formatting...

Select B1:B20 with B1 active cell

Format > Conditional Formatting > "Formula is"

=MATCH(B1,A$1:A$1000,0)

select a format e.g. red pattern
