Hi,

I have created a spreadsheet and have unticked some of the options with the view tab e.g scroll bars, tabs, and row/column headers. Is there anyway I can apply these changes to this workbook only rather than the complete software.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

put this in "ThisWorkBook"

Code:
Option Explicit

Private Sub Workbook_Open()

  On Error Resume Next
        With Application
           ActiveWindow.DisplayHeadings = False
           .DisplayScrollBars = False

         End With
    On Error GoTo 0

End Sub

Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
On Error Resume Next
        With Application
           ActiveWindow.DisplayHeadings = True
           .DisplayScrollBars = True
        End With
    On Error GoTo 0

End Sub

Thanks blackbox,

I suppose it is the combination of "ActiveWindow" and THISWORKBOOK that is isolating the settings to this wb, thereby not affecting ant subsequently "New wbs" added by File, New.. Right?
Thanks from OP and me..
