i have this excel file that's about 13megs. when i zip it, it gets compressed to about 11megs.
however, a week ago, when the original file was 11megs, it would get compressed to about 2megs.
the only thing that's changed since last week is that i've added a couple of really simple macros.
is this typical? does anyone know if macros can affect an excel file in such a way that compression becomes thwarted? is there anything i can do to deal with this? i don't want to e-mail a file with an 11meg attachment. please offer your input. thanks in advance.
