1. I am having a curvy (~) line show up before my file name on some of my files. What does this mean?

2. How do I make my entire worksheet a standard color?

3. I had trouble today trying to vertical some text next to a table of numbers. The text kept wanting to cut off at the top or appear in a single cell above the table. Can anyone help?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
1. Files starting with ~ are temporary files Excel creates while the file with the equivalent name is opened in Excel. If you still have some left when Excel is closed, they are probably leftovers from a crash and can safely be deleted.

2. What do you mean with standard color? Background? Text?

3. Not sure what you are describing here, can you give more details?

In question #2 I am talking about background color. I'm trying to make my background color standard blue for example.

In question #3 I am talking about vertical alignment from the orientation button found on the home tab in the ribbon.
