Quick DSUM Question

I have a very brief question regarding DSUM, you don't even have to mess with any hard formulas.

DSUM(database,column,criteria)

All I need to know how to do is figure out how to specify multiple columns in one DSUM function with the same criteria. I know I can simply have multiple DSUM arguments and add them together either by DSUM1 + DSUM2... or SUM(DSUM1,DSUM2,...)

However, it would be nice if I could simply specify multiple columns under the "columns" argument in the DSUM function. Is this possible? Thank you for your help.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Hola,

With Excel, there might be a better alternative to a domain aggregate function, what are you [specifically] trying to accomplish? That is, explain/show what you have and what is your targeted output?

Here's my setup. I'm trying to add columns "Score 1" & "Score 2" in a single DSUM function under the "column" argument. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi BeachComber:

You can use the formula ...

=SUM(DSUM($A$5:$F$13,{"Score1","Score2"},$B$1:$B$2))

or

=SUM(DSUM($A$5:$F$13,{3,4},$B$1:$B$2))

Yogi - that was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much. Nate - Got it to work with sumproduct too, but I wanted to keep it limited to the Database function. This is a huge help. Thank you again!
