I'm trying to get a couple of Dates to be included in a cell with some text and the results is displaying incorrectly.

This is the formula I'm using:-

=C3&" Expires Between "&C4&" "&MIN(TrafficFirst!A4:A15)&" To "&MAX(TrafficFirst!A4:A15)

This is the desired result:-

"Packets Expire between Apr 2006 To March 2007"

This is what is being shown:-

First Class Yorks 38808 To 39142

Can anyone please assist?

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Hi Mike

You need to format the dates (within the formula):

=C3&" Expires Between "&C4&" "&TEXT(MIN(TrafficFirst!A4:A15),"mmm yy")&" To "& TEXT(MAX(TrafficFirst!A4:A15),"mmm yy")

Not sure why your text is incorrect at the beginning though - you should check your cell references.

Best regards

Richard

Place

mmm yy

in B2 on an Admin sheet and name B2 MonthYearFormat.

Now invoke:

=C3&" Expires Between "&C4&" "&TEXT(MIN(TrafficFirst!A4:A15),MonthYearFormat)&" To "& TEXT(MAX(TrafficFirst!A4:A15),MonthYearFormat)

in order to facilitate changes in formatting and easier parsing on different Excel language versions.
