When I select 'Links...' under the Edit menu, there are around 10 links to other Excel files listed.

I would like to remove these links, as I do not need them. How can I do this?

(I have tried using Find on the file names as shown in the Links dialog box to search all formulae but they don't seem to exist).

Cheers,

TIM

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Another place that phantom links often reside is within Named Ranges referencing external worksheets so checking your Names list (Insert>Names>Define) is a good idea.

If you can't find any linked formulas by searching for "[" (no quotes), choose Insert|Name|Define from the menu, select each name in turn and delete it if it refers to an external workbook (and you don't need it). You may need to do this for each worksheet in turn.
