Quick very easy question!

Hi,

Just finished writing my macro in a test workbook, the macro will be used on different files not just this one.

I managed to assign the macro to a button on the toolbar, but when im in another file and want to run my macro it opens up the original file that it was created in.

I only want the macro to be associated with excel itself and not with any workbook in particular - is that possible ?

If you don't have a personal.xls file, create one in the xlStart folder. This file will be hidden, but will open whenever Excel is started. Put your Macro in this workbook.

Do a search for Personal.xls
