Hi,

Tricky task, but I want to create a macro that randomly pairs all names in a column without any repeats, then it will draft and send email to each of those pairs.

but.. then I want to be able to perform this same action again a month later, but not have any repeats of the previous month, until all possible combinations are exhausted.

I have added an example worksheet with manually sorted lists and some comments to explain the order of actions.

Any clues on how to even start this? maybe it's worth solving the pairing aspect first, without the emailing - then add that later/separately?

Any help appreciated.

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
I've posted a screenshot instead of the file, as that's all I can seem to do. hope its helpful.

I'm really struggling to figure out how to attach it. any clue?
You cannot attach/upload an Excel workbook in the forum.

However, MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.

Also, I suggest that you update your Account details (click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)
