Hi I’ve a list of dates in columns Jan -14 thro June 17, At the bottom of each column is a subtotal. I’ve created two dropdowns based on the date range. I want a cell to calculate the sum of the ranges selected.
I.E Select Jan 14 from dropdown 1 and March 17 from dropdown two and it will sum the range of the subtotalled cells. Hope this is clear, thanks in advance, and sorry also if this has been answered previous, I’ve looked promise!

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hi Tim thanks for the advice, I've look at this but not sure how it helps, SORRY relatively new to this excel lark. I'm seeing the SUMIFs as a possible solution. \i jest want to select each two separate dropdowns that will return a sum from the ranges selected. thanks joe

ACTUALLY FORGET THATS ITS A SUTOTAL at the bottom of the column, its just a vlue (called subtotal) confusing myself here!
