Hi,

I am just wondering if it is possible to to look at the cell colour to determine the rank if 2 values are the same?

What I have at the moment is:

=RANK.EQ(I4,$I$4:$L$4,0)

Cell I1 is Red = 3
Cell J1 is Blue = 4
Cell K1 is Green =1
Cell L1 is Yellow = 1

So what I would like is to have Green =1 and Yellow =2 just because G comes before Y in the alphabet.

Thanks

Dan

What makes a cell a certain colour?

Are you in fact trying to rank things by using tiebreakers?

Hi,

The colours are just a cell fill and won't change.

Yeah I suppose so. I just don't want there to be two rankings identical within the four places.

Thanks
