Real-Time Data - Best Method?

I am starting a project with excel, access, etc.

I want to know if this is possible through excel:

One main spreadsheet with different sheets having multiple users accessing the file and it updating in real time.

-Or-

Multiple spreadsheets for each user and each can read from each other and update in real time.

And any insight/helpful links would be awesome.

Thankyou

- Matt

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.

Access is built to allow multiple users.

Whether it would be appropriate for you is hard to tell without knowing why there are multiple worksheets.

How are they linked?

There doesn't necessarily have to be multiple sheets, it would just be useful.

Each sheet could be assigned to each person and every person could view each others sheets updating in real time?

All systems are linked through a network drive, so the file can be virtually accessed from anywhere.

What I'm wondering really is will each person basically be working with the same data as everyone else.
