Hi all ....

I have a RTD problem.

I have a routine that runs in the background that manipulates data derived from an RTD feed. On the odd occasion, the RTD fails, and I end up with a bunch of zeros in the cells populated by the feed, totally corrupting the data derived from the background routine .... making it worthless in fact.

I'm looking for a way to halt the background routine in the event of the feed failing. I'm thinking in terms of excels heartbeat method, but I have absolutely no idea how to implement it.

Any ideas ?
