Any possibility to increase "Recently Used File List" more than 9 ?

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
(Very quiet voice): As far as I know, you can't. Even if you change the number via VBA code, the max (at least in 2000) is still 9. I'll check later on when I get to a pc running 2003.

Go to your profile (top of the page, under the FAQ hyperlink) and scroll all the way down to the avatar control panel.

Hi guys

Sorry to interrupt - just to confirm that the max number of files in the Excel 2003 history is ... 9 (even if accessed thru VBA).

Did you look up the Maximum Property of the RecentFiles Collection Object as well? 'Cause if you did, and it's still 9, that sucks. :x

Sorry Taz.

Still 9 whichever way you look at it.

As you probably know Excel 12's on the horizon and, you just never know, someone at Microsoft might have just had a bright idea ... (maybe).

Really. I mean, how hard would it be to make that ... 100, if the user wanted to? It's just a string array -- big deal.
