Record navigation bar on form scrolls subform records rather than form records?

Hi everybody,

I have designed a form with a subform. At this present test stage there are 2 'parent' records and then 2 'child entries' on each subform, therefore 2 main records and 4 subform records.

The record navigation bar at the bottom of the screen scrolls through the 4 subform records rather than the 2 parent records, can anyone please advise on why and how to change this? I would like the record bar to scroll from 1 main record to the next i.e. even if multiple subform entries on record 1, the navigation bar scrolls straight from record 1 to record 2.

Many thanks
