Hi everyone,

I am quite new to Excel and this is my first post but here goes.

I want to create a formula that will link to a specific sheet and find a cell that is 3 columns across from a cell containing certain text on the first sheet.

For example, if TEST is in cell A1 on Sheet1, I want to find the value of a cell containing TEST on Sheet2 but is 3 columns to the right of TEST on Sheet2. I have tried playing around with INDIRECT and OFFSET but can't seem to get it to work.

One other thing, is it possible to change what the default sheet is when you open a new one, and if so, how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
