So I'm new to excel; I have no idea why I get this error or anything to do with it.
I can't click off / exit the Excel document due to this error; sounds like a dumb question but I genuinely have no idea what's going on.
The reference isn't valid is relating to the formula bar; but upon typing the formula it tells me This formula is missing a range reference or defined name.

Can you share the formula you are trying to type in? Maybe I can help troubleshoot from there
