Reference object from another form

Hello,

Can someone tell me how to reference an textbox object from a different form? I have a sub form that has detailed information and i want to pass the subtotal to the main form...

Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
YOu would think it would be that easy, right? I have:

If cbCM.Value = True Then
var1 = val(UserForm3.txtCMTot.Value)
UserForm1.txtCMStd = var1
end if

but that is pulling back a NULL value. I'm not quite sure where or what to declare to get it to pull back the true value
