Referencing a cell on a different sheet

I am trying to reference a cell on a separate sheet. If the cell I am referencing is blank, the cell I want the information to be inputed into returns a 0.

How can I make it reference the cell and return the info but if the referenced cell is blank, leave the requested cell blank as well?

How's this: =IF(Sheet2!A1="",0,Sheet2!A1)
