Hello,
I need some help.
I have a workbook that is linked to other workbooks by a formula in each cell as it needs to look up a value on another workbook depending on the date. for it to show the values of the second work book both have to be open. is it posible thta workbook 1 with the formula in canget the data form the other work book without work book 2 being opend?

the formula that I have is
=INDIRECT("'C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\["&$K$1&".xls]Sheet1'!$F$10")

["&$K$1&".xls] being the file that it has to reference to this is the file i wish to stay close it is called Jan089 but this changes each month and both files are kept.

Any ideas?
