Hi All,

I know this is possible, as I have seen it done before, but I just can't remember how!!

I have a formula which reads "=October!J12", but instead of October, I want to be able to reference a cell, so that I can change the month within that cell, which will then pull the same cell from a different tab (i.e. November)

Thanks in Advance
Yvonne

Excel Facts

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Welcome to the board..

Use INDIRECT

=INDIRECT("'"&A1&"'!J12")

Where A1 contains the sheet name.

Hope that helps.
