Referencing Active Cells

Is anyone familiar with a function that will reproduce values of active cells? In other words, I have a row of hourly time values from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. I have a hyperlink set for each of those cells (e.g. 8:00 am) that will reference the ten cells below that 'time' cell. I want to set a function for ten cells on the same sheet that will reproduce the values of the referenced cells.

I may be talking in circles; here's an example:

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 184pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=248 x:str><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 46pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 2190" span=4 width=62><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 10.8pt" height=14><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #e0dfe3; When I click on the time value cell, that cell references the ten cells below it. I want ten cells in the same sheet with a function that causes them to show the same values for any active, or selected, cells on the sheet.

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Why do you want them referenced? do you want them selected? i'm assuming you mean 10 cells below the selected one in the same column? what values do you want them to show and from where?

I have a chart (actually merged cells that physically resemble a training building) in the workbook that will always reference the "new" cells for conditional formatting. In other words, this will be an application for instructors to know which classrooms are being used at certain times of the day. So, when they click on the "time hyperlink" the data values in the cells below that time are activated and copied into the "new cells." The chart (training building) referencing the "new cells" carries out the conditional formatting and gives the information that is needed for the chosen time. Does that make sense? I can see it in my head, but every time I try to explain it someone, I actually can confuse myself.

VERY confusing, so say, in your example above, i click on 10:30am what do you want to physically see there, try and dumb down your explanation in to simple "if this happens i see that", "if that happens i see that" and the same for "if this happens that should show there"...etc

I really don't care to see values when you click on "10:00 am." I'm actually going to hide those cell rows. The end result that I want to happen is for the "classroom" cells change to their conditionally-formatted colors when you click on a specific time.

So, the backward sequence in my head is: The "classroom" cells are conditionally-formatted to change colors based on values in the ten "permanent" cells. The ten "permanent" cells have a function that pulls information, or reproduces the values of the ten cells that are active, or activated, by clicking on the time-valued cell above them.

Going forward, when an instructor clicks on a time cell:

Time Cell -- Clasroom Information Cells (variable, depending on the chosen Time Cell) -- "Permanent" Cells -- Classroom Cells

I can't have the Classroom Cells pulling directly from the time cells because there are just too many variables. So, I want ten cells on the worksheet (the information will be hidden to the user) that will drive the conditional formats for the Classroom Cells.
