Hi.

I'm new using Access. We bought a DataBase contruct in Access from a company which contain lots of importers.

It is a unique access file with two tables which are 'Complete File' and 'Not Update'

The info they have it is the same but of course in the table 'No Update' there are some missing or not updated information such as telephone number, email, webpage...

What is better to do?

- Create only one table: the ideia would be gather both table and then create another column to inform which company has its info update and not updated.

OR

- Leave the way it is: let the tables separate. After update some info from the not update table I just cut this data and past into the update table.

Thank you a lot.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
You've had lots of views, but no replies. Could be because the question is somewhat ambiguous. My suggestion is to Google 'database normalization' and start there. It is not good practice to duplicate data in multiple tables, or have lots of holes, or make a table that simply combines the records of others. You are just asking for trouble if you do that.
