Ok. Since you're using a couple of lookups, I suggest you create a form for you to use to do your data entry. The button you want to create can open the form and the wizard that is in place for creating buttons can help you with that. Since the form is directly connected to your table, the data will be saved there without needing to copy anything.

You've already got your table. The easiest way to add information to a table is through the use of a form. Since the design of the form gets its field name information from your table, the form and the table are connected. You can even use a wizard to help you design the form.

Once your form is designed the way you want it to look, save it. In the place where you're wanting this "Register" button, add a command button using the wizard. The Command Button Wizard has a Categories pane and an Actions Pane. Choose "Form Operations" in the Categories pane and "Open Form" in the Actions pane - then click the next button. Choose the name of your form from the list the wizard provides and click the Next button. There are now 2 radio buttons to choose from. The default is "Open the form and show all the records." I recommend you accept this default and click the next button. Your command button can either have a picture on it or text. My personal preference is for my buttons to have text. You can click the Text radio button and type "Register" in the box that says "Open Form" and then click the Next button. In the final screen of the wizard, you can name your command button, but that's optional. You could call the button OpenRegisterForm for example and then click the "Finish" button.
