Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me on the regression (data analysis tool) of excel. I'm simply trying pull out some forecasts for a simple table, but using the 'regression' element of data analysis is proving a bit more complicated than I anticipated.

I'm used to using SPSS, but I dont have it anymore. I have a simple table, e.g. jan feb mar apr etc (months) across the top and two variables on the left (Value and Volume). Im simply trying to get it to predict the next month's value using the regression tool, but it keeps saying im overlapping the data (that y and x cannot be overlapped). So I'm slightly confused.

Any help would be welcome.

Cheers!

Greg
