I have 2 tables that are linked to tables in our main frame, they both pull the same number but one is a text field and one is number field. Is there a way to covert the text field so I can join the 2 tables?

If they are linked tables, you will not be able to change their format in the table. However, you can use a query to convert the number to a string. Use the CSTR function (or FORMAT function if you need to insert leading zeroes).
