Relative sheet reference question

Hi all,

I'm semi-familiar with using the indirect function to create a relative reference to another worksheet. My problem is I have a worksheet named YZ1-2, and I think the formula is treating the hyphen as a subtraction sign, thus giving me a #REF error. Is there a way to fix this? Just to provide more details, I need cell F8 on Sheet1 to look at cell A8 of Sheet1 in order to get the name of the sheet it needs to pull the data from (in this case sheet YZ1-2). An excel or VBA formula is fine.

Thanks for the help,

Theadish

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
You may just need single quotes. This is working fine for me with a sheet names YZ1-2 in the workbook.

=INDIRECT("'" & A8&"'!A1")

Yeah that worked. I figured it was something simple like that I just wasn't sure how to code all the different quote marks. Thanks so much!
