Remove Blank Space From Cell

I have a worksheet with about 1,200 rows in it, and in one column there is a series of numbers/letters. I am trying to use vlookup to match it up with another sheet, but the problem is that there is a leading space in all of the cells that contain these series of numbers. I tried the trim function, but it did not remove the leading blank space. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can mass remove that leading space?

Thanks! The macro didn't work because I needed to keep the spaces within the cell, but the other formula did!
