Dear Sir,
I updated my MacBook Pro recently.
Now I am using macOS Monterey version 12.5 and Excel for Mac Version 16.61
How can I remove or empty Definitely the "Recent" folder in this version of Excel, and also in Word, PowerPoint and from the Finder.

For Excel I already rename the file com.microsoft.Excel.securebookmarks.plist
inside ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Library/Preferences/.
And rename it com.microsoft.Excel.securebookmarks.old.plist from the command line.
All “recent” disappear in Excel: perfect.
But as soon I open a new file in Excel, the name of the file I opened was back in the new “recent” folder.

Thank you for your help.
Best regards
