Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet, which is automatically set up to update with data from an external database upon opening (or upon enabling the content in office 2007).

I need to be able to remove all links and any references that query this database so that I have the same spreadsheet, but I only have the values of the current data and updating is disabled permanently.

Where in Excel 2007 do I find these links / references / code and remove it permanently?

Thanks!

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
if you want to permanently delete all the links choose "Data" in toolbar, Connections, Edit links, Break links

If you want to keep the links but be prompted to update them upon opening file:

Office Button (upper left corner)
Excel Options (button bottom left)
Trust Center
Trust Center Settings
Security for Workbook links & choose Prompt User or Disable
