Removing digits from a cell

Hi, Say I have a cell (which I have copied and pasted from a webpage) that has 1 or numbers in front of a word, eg:

1.Paul
15.Peter
16.Mary

How can I just get the word only,

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-FIND(".",A1))

You can also use Find/Replace.

Select your range first, Press Control+F,

Find what: "*." (without quotes, there is dot after the asterisks)
Replace All with a blank.

Edit: Oops, didn't see Haseeb's response before posting.

Two other options ..

1. An alternative formula :
=REPLACE(A1,1,FIND(".",A1),"")

2.
a) Select the whole column by clicking its heading label.
b) Edit|Replace...|Find what: *. |Replace with: leave blank|Replace All

Thanks everyone. To take this one step further. This would leave that cell showing just "paul". But in the actual cell there is a heap of formulas.

How can I then paste that cell somewhere else and it just shows "paul", and not all the formulas.

Copy it, then Edit > Paste Special, tick Values and click OK.
