Removing Duplicates in Excel

Hi,

Excel has a really good 'Remove Duplicates' function under the Data tab.

However, it just removes the values and there is no way to see what has been removed.

Any ideas how I can see what this function has removed, or whether I can see what it will remove before it is removed?

You can apply an Advanced Filter on your range, selecting the "Unique records only" option. This will hide all the duplicate rows, but not actually delete them. So you can see which records will be kept and which will be dropped.
