removing every second row

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

It might be easy. It might be a bit complicated. It might require VBA...or maybe not.

Is there a particular feature of the rows to be deleted? (All contain the same word? Every other row cell is blank? Something else?)

If your data has column names in row one then Easy-XL From MrExcel can do this in a few clicks.

Here's a video showing how to use Easy-XL's Tag Rows feature to remove every second row:

You could do this with the 30 day trial version which you can download at http://www.Easy-XL.com

if you dont wanna use VBA, a very easy way would be to type in A1:
=ISEVEN(ROW())

and copy down as many rows as you like. it will fill the column with rotating TRUE / FALSE. copy / paste as values and sort by col A
