How can I remove extra spaces from within cells held in one column. There have been numerous typo's that have resulted in first, middle and last names being split by greater than one space in many though not all instances.
Thanks in advance

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Try this
=TRIM(text)

Removes all spaces from text except for single spaces between words. Use TRIM on text that you have received from another application that may have irregular spacing.

Text is the text (or address of cell containing text) from which you want spaces removed.

Example

TRIM(" First Quarter Earnings ") equals "First Quarter Earnings"

when I follow this through I end up with a #NAME? error, any idea on what's causing this? Otherwise the trim function should work- now that I know it exists!!!
