what Im trying to do is have a cell that has typing in it that will continue in to the next cell. Without making the collum wider. So that when I send it over in a email you will be able to see the whole sentence and not just part of it. I dont want to make the cells that are down lower on the page wider. Hopfully im explaing that so you can understand what i mean.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Hello have you tried wrapping the text in the cell?
This would mean the column stays the same width but gets longer instead.
Right click the cell and choose format cells, choose the alignment tab and check the wrap text check box, try it out and see what you think

Cheers

That sounds like a formatting thing, have you tried turning off "wrap text"? It is under "alignment" in the format cell menu.

HIghlight the cells you want. Then hit button, merge to center in your toolbars. Or format cells, go to alignment then merge to cells.

Hope this helps,
Michael
