Does anyone know if there are problems re removing named ranges in Excel 2007?

I have a named range called abc which spans cells A1 to A3 on Sheet1.

This brings up a Run-time error '1004' Application-defined or object-defined error:

Code:
Names("abc").Delete

What is wrong?

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
