Removing old code when copying spreedsheets

Hi,

Sometimes I base a new spreadsheet based on an old one (i.e. I select file/save as and save it under a new name).

I then might drop many of the old worksheets if they're not longer relevant. I've noticed that the code (VBA) I've written often remains, despite the fact that the worksheet it belongs to is no-more.

Is there a way automatically deleting old code and macros?

Automatically? No. But you can select a macro from the Macro interface in Excel (ALT+F8), select the macro by name and Delete it.
