Removing old File Links

Hello,

I am currently using Excel 2000 at work and we have a lot of old files kicking around that we tend to recycle. I run into a problem many times where the files says there are links to old files that no longer exist and I am unable to break them (No Break Links function in 2000)

Occasionally I am able to a find and root out some cells that reference the old file but most of the time the worksheet has been long deleted that conatined the links and I am stuck with the link message each time it opens.

Any Thoughts?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
how about tools-options-calculation tab-dont select "Update remote references"

I tried the first method but it just stopped all links.

Thanks Bowlnhokie, that add-in did the trick wish I had known about that thing a long time ago,
