Hi everyone,
I have data in column A that looks like this:
AV15808A
AV15828
AV15829
AV15843
AV15843A
AV15843B
AV15843C
AV15852
AV15854
AV15858
AV15874
AV15879
AV15881
AV15884
AV15886
AV15887
AV15887A
I only need to keep the number piece. Any alpha characters should be removed. I used the RIGHT function =RIGHT(A5,5), but it will leave the alphas from the right side and only remove the front alphas. I've tried to use it with the LEFT function, but some of the values do not have alpha characters at the end. Not sure how to construct the formula.
I'm using Excel 2010.
