I have downloaded some data that includes a list of names.
I want to vlookup the names, but the download has put a space after the last letter in the name.
Is there a formula that I can use to eliminate this space after the last letter in the name in each cell.

Thanks for any help.

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.

Patrick - if the data is in column A, then create a formula in column B for example:

=TRIM(A1)

this will remove leading and trailing spaces

then you can copy/paste as values to convert it from a formula into text.

cheers, Ian R.
