removing text from numbers

Is there a function that can clean up numbers that look like this

nt 347.14
a 47.14
679.44
c 547.14
88,888.55
bb 47.14

I want to remove the text from the startings of these numbers they are either the first, second, or third string from the left but it varies is there a RemoveText function :p
