Hopefully there is some saviour out there who will know an answer to this one.

I run an export from a software database which has numerous columns of data.

In Column J it contains previous history updates.

Format for updates are dd/mmm/yy (***) "Sentence".

The question is some cells within column J contain upwards of 20 history updates (Newest update is top of cell. Example Below:

20 Apr 13 (MDJ) Update provided from SE team with IA due completion by 24th May.
13 Apr 13 (SC) IA sent to SE team to carry out full costed IA.
12 Apr 13 (MDJ) Update from Harry Smith the information covering this requirement has completed and this can now be sent for IA to the SE Team.

08 Apr 13 (MDJ) RFC status changed to Gathering Information as advised by Tom Jones.
07 Apr 13 (MDJ) CCB Triage.
05 Apr 13 (MDJ) Received and registered.

Is there a way to strip all of the history within a cell except the 3 Newest Green font (Remove RED text) The cell may contain more than 20 updates and when exported into Word at the moment and then I have to spend well over an hour highlighting all the text in each cell in column J and deleting all but 3 newest entries.

I can export to excell and manipulate the data but the last bit of my conundrum is removing all but 3 newest entries within the cell.

PLEASE PLEASE can some saviour help.

Regards,

Martin
