I have a folder containing over 1000 excel files, all of which need to be renamed the contents of cell O2.

Is there a quick way to do this?

TIA :):confused::biggrin::)

EDIT: Cell O2 is a merged cell. It is merged to column S.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
You want to give 1000 excel files the same name?

I know, I was only kidding.:)

The only way I can see this being done would be to open each file, get the name from O2 and either save with that filename or close the file and rename it.

Where are these files located?

All in one directory?
