Hi There,

I hope someone can help me,

I need to rename 5000 image files, I have looked around on the internet but cant find a way thats well explained,

I have created a file with the original filenames in column A in column B i have a "|" and in column C I have the New filename i would like and in column D i have them all combined, i was going to use Batch Rename Utility but i cant get it to work,

Could someone please advise me how to use in or another way

Thanks Much Apprichiated

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Sorry forgot to say, its the column D getting put into a text file so i think that the | just splits it, | is what the manual for the program says to use

Could a vb script search column A to find the match and then Rename it with column C?

Thanks

I am pretty good with Batch Rename Utility. Use it all the time. Be glad to help that way if you like.
