I receive a .csv file everyday and the file name changes depending on the date. This is today's for example: csvpos_dpos_20110803
Yesterday was: csvpos_dpos_20110802

Due to the revolving sheet name, the macro I am running cannot locate the sheet I need to run it on. How do I rename an active sheet with an ever changing name to something simple like 'today' using a macro?

Thanks so much, I feel like this is a stupid question.

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Welcome to the board.

Rather than renaming the sheet, why not build the dynamic nature of the sheetname into your code. Something like this:

Code:
With Sheets("svpos_dpos_"& Format(Date,yyyymmdd))
'your code
End With
