renaming files

Hi,
just wondering whether somebody can help. I have a directory with a lot of pdf files in (each given a unique number eg 123456.pdf when the document is created) I'm just wondering whether I can put an automatic prefix on to that document using the for each file in directory method

eg test123456.pdf
