I have a sheet where we have a lot of repetitive work. Basically we go through a football games play by play and count certain plays. Runs to the middle, long passes, etc.

What I want to do is have a button for each type of play and every time a user clicks a certain button, the cell count for that play goes up. I'm stuck on how to do this...anyone help out?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Welcome to the Board!

Probably one of the easier things to do would be use a Spinner from the Forms toolbar and just link it the cell where you want to record the play.

Or if you want a button you can use something like this:

Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
  Range("A1").Value = Range("A1").Value + 1
End SUb

Hope that helps,
