I have a spreadsheet that comes to me monthly. One particular column "organization" always has the exact same mispellings in it. I need to correct the spellings before further proccessing. Here is an example of the column that I need to change:

Organization (This is the column name)
Federal Center
Federal Ctr
Operations Center
Operations Ctr

Request VBA code that will change the data in the column using a lookup table named "Org" to replace with the correct and consistent names of the organizations.

I have huge amounts of data and would like to use VBA. I'm using W7 and E2007.

Thanks in advance for you help.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
It's not 100% clear what versions are wrong and which ones are right but I'll assume you want to them to read Federal Center and Operations Center. So all you want to do is replace any occurence of Ctr with Center. In that case forget about macros and use the Replace facility for the worksheet. I'm not sure what the options are Excel 2007 but in previous versions it would be Edit | Replace then in the "Find What" box put Ctr and in the "Replace With" box put Center. Then click Replace All.
