i use find and replace quite a bit, I've got about 200 formulas, which just for example are in the format:

=name1*name2

i want to do a replace, changing all "*" for "-" so they are now subtracting from each other..

my problem is ofcourse that * is a wildcard. Does anyone know how to overcome this?

from my previous life in programming I'm sure I used / or \ to stop it working but this doesn't seem to work.

please help! thanks in advance Brian

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
[from the other thread]...IMO that has to be one of the most memorable movie scenes...

"One of the most...", yes. But, not the most memorable scene in that bit of cinema. I would say it's probably the *best* scene in Deliverance. Interestingly it does make a pretty decent avatar; though I'll confess I find Nate's current one a bit more appealing.
